#post s8 au

okay so for the new season I have an Idea/AU/Headcanons/Thing:

These two are not Dizzy and Jett, but instead they're their siblings. Left is 'Dazey', right is 'Flash' (ty to @stormvanari for this ideaaaa). They look very similar to Dizzy and Jett themselves, they may look like twins with them but they're younger. Idc

Since I made 'Dazey' and 'Flash' seperate from the first SWs...and Marty, Lucie, Traver, Sally...and no Astra either even though this is a space season (but I don't think Donnie is gonna appear either, because I don't think they kept his name and I think Marty is not a mechanic/inventor character like Donnie either)...all of the SWs are now back at the Airport. Although Dizzy, Donnie, Jerome, Mira, etc. are all back in their respective bases shown in season 2 (shown below). Their old hangars (shown in season 1) are remodeled and given to characters who directly debuted in the Aircraft (like Crystal, Bucky, Sunny, etc.).

Continuing the above headcanon, they now do freelance work. They are still signed under the World Airport/craft but they are not *actively* working there anymore. But they do jobs for them time to time!

Although they are all chilling now mostly (specifically the main 6 aka Jett, Dizzy, Donnie, Jerome, Astra, and Paul). Even if their perspective on 'chilling' differs. (For example Donnie likes to lay down, maybe tinker with some small device. Jett does airshows. Jerome sleeps a lot and maybe hang out with Donnie sometimes. Dizzy goes to hiking. Paul solves cases. Astra loves to experiment on random stuff and now that shes back in her base at space she can blow up things with them without hurting anyone heheheheh)

Now I do think that...and the characters are all seperate in the new season for me...the events in the movie happened. Even if in the canon the movie probably takes place in a different universe, in this AU/headcanon/thing the movie DID happened. They had a different Super Charge. The reason I write this bc the SWs all realized they needed a vacation after all that.

All of the SWs, except for Tino, stayed back. Tino wanted to experience space after all the years of being frozen. Also he was very excited to see Sally again (hc they were friends but they got seperated)

Rover is, well, Rover. He appeared in every season.

sorry to bring up klance in the big year 2025 but i found a w.i.p. i had with like. 4 scenes and a handful of paragraphs but why is this some of the most beautiful writing ive ever made

His mind pauses on the memory, a few years ago now, when this had all started. They had finally started getting along, just a bit after Sendak's attempt to take over the castle. After Lance had said they were a good team then forgotten about it.

..Asshole.

They were on the observation deck after running into eachother in the middle of the night. Neither wanting to admit the reason they were still awake.

(They both knew it was nightmares, nights after particularly gruesome battles were never easy.)

"Man, I can't wait to go back to Earth once this is all over."

He tilted his head at Lance, confused.

"Really? You want to go back?"

"Yeah? I mean I want to go home, don't you?"

Home?

Keith thought about it for a moment, trying to recall any place that's truly felt like home. He's been in many houses before, constantly filtering through different foster families that'd always trade him off the moment they could. And sure, he had a rundown shack in the middle of the desert that was barely safe enough to be considered a house.

But no, he's never had a home before.

And now here he stands, in knee length waves and the sun shining in just a way that makes his sun tanned skin look as if it was dusted with pure gold.

And for a moment, Keith thinks that Lance is the most beautiful person in the world.

No amount of war and scars and blood stained battles could ever take that away from him.

"There was this one time. On Naxzela." He breathes out. This was a over a year ago now, so why does he feel so anxious?

"I knew you guys had to get out, so. I was going to break through the barrier myself."

"That fighter.. Keith, that was you?" Lance sits up, staring down at where Keith laid uhhhword descipyor, sometjinggg.

"I had to get everyone home. Get you home." His voice barely above a whisper now. "I closed my eyes, a few seconds before I would've impacted. I didn't want to know how close I was."

He closes his eyes, and when they open again Lance can see the stars reflected in them. He can see the resignation, the acceptance, the odd calmness about the situation that makes Lance uneasy.

"Why would you- Keith, the ship would've exploded- you would've died. Why would you do that?"

"..You mentioned before your home, back here on Earth. Everyone did. Everyone had families to go home to. I thought, if I could do this one thing, nothing else would matter." He pauses, hand carding through the sand. "No amount of battles lost, no amount of painful injuries or days spent in pods, not even losing my life. None of it would matter if you got that. If I could give you that."

"Promise me you won't-" His voice breaks, a hiccup interrupting. "Won't do something like that, again."

"You know I can't do that.."

"Keith." He grips onto Keith's shirt, lip trembling from where he was biting it.

"..I promise."

He promised, because Lance asked. Only Lance could make him promise to not be reckless, something that was in his nature.

Only Lance.

The truth?

The truth was, that as much as any man could, Keith loved Lance McClain.

So much so that no words could ever describe it. Not a hundred, not a thousand, hell not even a million.

And so he kissed him.

Because if he couldn't say it, he was going to show him.

Eddie is cursed. He remembers standing in the rain, watching Buck climb up that rig, towards a fire. He remembers feeling the sky like lightning in his chest. He remembers thinking, again and again and again – there is no curse. There is no curse. He closes his eyes and tries to breathe, but there’s nothing in his chest – nothing but that lightning strike all over again. For so long, Buck’s been here – for so long, Buck’s survived whatever collateral damage Eddie brings with him. But lately, things are worse – lately it is one thing after another after another. There is no curse. “Buck!” Bobby calls, and there’s panic in his voice. “Buck, get out of there now.” “I can’t just leave this guy!” Of course Buck isn’t going to leave someone behind. He’s Buck. He’s a good firefighter. He���s a good everything. Eddie tries to find the rhythm of his own pulse, but it’s all carnage and shrapnel.  He wants to yell over the radio – yell something, anything, to make Buck understand that he has to get out of there. That Eddie can’t let him die – that Eddie can’t kill him like he kills everything else.

OR

Eddie Diaz is cursed.

happy 2 year anniversary to vdhau! the sequel is finally here!

Genre: Comedy/Superhero

Fic summary: 

As they charge through the darkened rooms, their footsteps echo against the walls, alerting nearby staff. “Who’s there?” one of them shouts. Another one flashes a light down the hall, illuminating the subject mid-run. They’ve been caught. But it won’t matter. “XS-8 is escaping!” the staff shouts. “Catch it!”

In which a teenage lab rat finally escapes into the real world, gets adopted by two shady shop owners, and starts learning to live amongst normal people. There’s only one small issue: they have superpowers, and they have to keep it hidden to avoid being caught again. It’s a lot harder than it sounds.
